Our popular 3-hour taster session is the perfect introduction to the ancient art of blacksmithing – fun, hands-on, and incredibly rewarding for complete beginners and curious adventurers alike! In just three exhilarating hours, you'll step into our traditional forge, get a thorough safety briefing, learn how to manage the roaring coke fire, and use real blacksmith tools under the expert guidance of Matt or Floyd. Forge your very own unique items – think sturdy hooks, charming keyrings, or other personalized pieces – turning raw metal into treasures you'll be proud to show off or gift. Sessions run every fortnight with convenient morning slots starting at 9:00 am and afternoon ones at 2:00 pm – choose the time that fits your schedule best! We supply everything you need: all tools, high-quality materials, and even complimentary tea and coffee to keep you going. Dress for the sparks and soot in comfortable cotton clothes like jeans and shirts (it's part of the fun getting a bit marked!), and steer clear of synthetics like acrylic or nylon for safety. No need to worry about lunch – bring your own or grab a delicious takeaway from the welcoming local pub, The Kings Head in Docklow, a charming family-run spot known for great food and a relaxed vibe. Cancellation Policy
Once your booking has been confirmed, you will receive confirmation of your booked event and your receipt, relevant details for your booked course will also be emailed to you, if you have not recieved these please contact us We require a minimum of 21 days cancellation notice prior to your scheduled arrival date. In the event of cancellation or booking amendments made less than 21 days before the event, or failure to attend the event, you will forfeit your deposit and Fair Mile Forge shall be entitled to retain the deposit. 1. Limited Spaces: Class capacities are limited, and by securing a booking, you are reserving one of the few available spots for the selected course. 2. Booking Deposit: A 50% deposit or as otherwise stated of the total course fee is required upon booking. A full refund is available for cancellations made up to 21 days before the course date. Cancellations after this period will result in the forfeiture of the deposit. The full course fee is due 21 days prior to the class commencement, and cancellations thereafter will result in the loss of the entire class fee. 3. Class Cancellation: In the unlikely event of a class cancellation by the organizer, all deposits and payments will be fully refunded. However, the organizer cannot be held responsible for any additional costs incurred. 4. Modifying a Reservation: Should you require a change in the date of your booking, you can do so up to 21 days before the scheduled course date.
